"We must close union offices, confiscate their money and put their leaders in prison. We must reduce workers salaries and take away their right to strike.”
- Adolph Hitler, May 2, 1933
Scary, huh? Scarier still that it sounds like exactly what Walker is trying to do in our state right now. -

“Experience: that most brutal of teachers. But you learn, my God do you learn.”
“You don't have a soul. You are a Soul. You have a body.”
“What you see and hear depends a good deal on where you are standing; it also depends on what kind of a person you are”
“Miracles are a retelling in small letters of the very same story which is written across the whole world in letters too large for some of us to see.”
Education without values, as useful as it is, seems rather to make man a more clever devil.”
“We all want progress, but if you're on the wrong road, progress means doing an about-turn and walking back to the right road; in that case, the man who turns back soonest is the most progressive.”

It's just life.
Birth is such a sacred, private event. We are privileged to be able to grow and release a human from inside of our very own bodies. I have come to believe that it is wrong to get together and talk shit about how someone decided to do one of the most important things in their life. So a woman had a birth with interventions? So she was uneducated about the process and her options? HELP HER.
Give her resources and strength and encouragement. Show her what it is that is worth striving for, what her body could do if only she knew.
Let her know the secret- We can do it. We are supposed to give birth, and if we succeed it is one of the most amazing, empowering, beautiful moments of our entire lives. Don't lie and tell her she did okay, and then go behind her backs to say how terrible she did.
Birth is not a competition.
A homebirth isn't any better than a hospital birth unless the mother perceives it that way.
The only failed birth is one that harms the mother or the baby (emotionally or physically) and that is never something to snark at.

Luna laughed. :)
When I grow up I want to be Dr. Phil.
